La Maison Tangente, an Auberge du Cœur and a haven of safety and support for youth in difficulty, proudly announces the arrival of two inspiring figures to passionately and compassionately represent its voice: Leila Thibeault Louchem and Jean-René Moisan.
In an atmosphere filled with hope and solidarity, listen to these two charismatic individuals share what motivates them to commit to this cause.
Leila Thibeault-Louchem is a multidisciplinary artist who has made a name for herself in television, film and theatre. With a degree in acting from UQÀM, she quickly made a name for herself when she landed a starring role in Destinées in 2007, playing Zara for five seasons.
On the small screen, she has appeared in series such as 19-2, L’effet secondaire, Alertes, Gazebo and Léo (seasons 1 to 5), where she plays the bubbly Aïsha. She also played Stéphanie, François’ new partner, in Discussions avec mes parents (seasons 3 to 6).
More recently, she shone in Classé secret, La Confrérie, L’Aréna – a performance for which she was a finalist at the Prix Gémeaux 2024 Gala in the Best Performance – Humour category – as well as in Portrait-robot 3 and Qui a poussé Mélodie?
On stage, she has worked with renowned directors including Nicolas Gendron, Bachir Bensaddek, Mani Soleymanlou and Marie-Ève Milot.
Her film credits include Mon cirque à moi and Nelly, confirming her talent and versatility.
Since graduating from the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Québec in 2006, Jean-René Moisan has performed over thirty roles on stages in Quebec City and Montreal, and has toured extensively throughout Quebec and Europe.
In 2023, he will tread the boards at Théâtre La Licorne in Old Orchard, and will return in autumn 2025 for Mathieu Quesnel’s TRIP.
His performance as Brick in La chatte sur un toit brûlant (La Bordée, 2015) won him the Prix de la critique AQCT – Performance by an Actor. Earlier in his career, he was twice nominated for the Prix Nicky-Roy, recognising a promising up-and-coming actor.
His television credits include roles in Indéfendable, Mégantic, L’œil du cyclone, Sorcières, L’empereur, Portrait-robot, Le Phoenix, Léo, Discussions avec mes parents, Hubert & Fanny, L’heure bleue, District 3, Mémoires vives and 30 vies.
He also lends his voice to numerous dubbing productions for film and television.
